ABOUT LIGHTS IN LENTS. We’re excited to be back in Lents Town Center for another *local* community art exhibition for Portland Winter Light Fest! Join us throughout January 2023 (see schedule below) to brainstorm, track/sketch, and paint our community mural & self-portraits with the city-wide theme “The Light of Stars”:

I see that this vastness and chaos can also create a symmetry.

Like here, on our little watery rock floating through space.

A place where we can dream, and build and reach for the stars and find the future.

This year. I ask you to look at the universe and show us your future.

I know it’s a lot to ask, but I believe in you.

Because the numbers say we are all lucky to be here.

And anyone that lucky can do anything.

All ages! All supplies and refreshments provided – just bring yourself and your creativity!

What does a community art exhibit look like?

We, the organizers, are also volunteers and members of the East Portland community and we are figuring out the creative process as we go, along with anyone joining in, and being flexible and going with the flow.
